Basset hounds make great pets and if you have ever owned one you know what I am talking about. Basset Hounds are lovable dogs and they know no stranger so if are looking for a guard dog this is not going to be the dog for you..I have raised Dogs for 16 years and I will haft say Bassets are my favorite. Once you look into their sad eyes you will be a basset lover forever... We only raise bassets and focus on show and family companions.
Just a note.... puppies/dogs are a life time commitment. Bassets hounds have a life span of around 12 years, so make sure when you buy a pup you are willing to give it a loving home through out its life. Puppies grow up and become dogs so be sure this is somthing you can do before buying a puppy. Puppies are not toys they are living things that need food, love and shelter BE..... willing to commite to these things before buying,, thank you..........
